Audrey chose to become a teacher because she loves to learn and she has a passion for sharing her love of learnings with her students.  During the summers, Audrey volunteers to teach pioneer school enrichment day camps for the Mille Lacs and Isanti County Historical Societies.  Audrey graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Bible.  Audrey is currently pursuing a Masters of Education and Teaching degree from Maranatha Baptist University with a specialty in literacy and history.  Through the grace of God, in 2010 the Misiura’s escaped a major house fire without any physical injury.   Audrey recalls “that while this event was an extremely difficult situation, we sensed the Lord’s guidance and provision like never before.”  Through this trial, the verses penned by the prophet Isaiah in 43:1-3 became very special to the Misiura family:  “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3 (ESV).
