The Minnesota Association of Christian Schools (MACS) hosts annual speech competitions for both the junior high and senior high levels. At SFCS part of Speech class is preparing for these competitions. Students get to choose what category they would like to participate in and then work with knowledgeable coaches in preparation for competition. Categories include, but are not limited to: puppets, reader’s theatre, humorous interpretation, one act play, and expository preaching.
Senior high competitors are awarded a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ribbon for their performance in each category. At the junior high level students receive a Superior, Excellent or Good rating based on a point system for each performance.
Congratulations to each SFCS student who competed in 2020.
SFCS students received first place in each category entered at the senior high level. Several junior high students received a “Superior” rating for their performances as well.
